The Centre for Financial Integrity (CFI) is pleased to announce the launch of applications for UPLIFT 2.0, a free educational and professional development programme for aspiring and current professionals in Ukraine’s financial security sector.
UPLIFT is designed for those looking to start or advance their careers in financial crime prevention, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT), sanctions policy, financial monitoring and related fields.
Developed by CFI in collaboration with the Centre for Finance and Security (CFS) at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the programme combines expert-led training, international expertise, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
UPLIFT 2.0 brings together theoretical knowledge, practical experience and professional exchange.
Through the programme, participants will have the opportunity to:
Attend six online workshops led by Ukrainian and international experts, covering FATF standards, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, sanctions risks, cryptocurrencies and virtual assets, asset recovery, and emerging financial security challenges.
Compete for a place on a three-day study visit to Warsaw. Ten participants, selected based on their performance and engagement throughout the programme, will have the opportunity to take part in intensive training and engage directly with international experts.
Participate in a mentoring programme. Selected participants will receive practical guidance and career development advice from experienced professionals.
Become part of the UPLIFT professional community, build valuable connections and meet like-minded individuals for future collaboration.
UPLIFT 2.0 is open to all Ukrainian citizens interested in financial security and eager to develop their knowledge and skills in this field.
We welcome applications from students, early-career professionals, researchers, representatives of the public, private and civil society sectors, as well as anyone looking to gain new expertise or explore a different career path.
No prior experience in financial crime prevention is required. What matters most is your motivation, interest in the subject and willingness to learn.
Financial security is a vital component of Ukraine’s resilience and recovery. Addressing financial crime, sanctions evasion and other emerging threats requires professionals who understand international standards and can apply modern approaches in practice.
UPLIFT 2.0 offers an opportunity to learn from leading experts, develop practical professional skills and join a community committed to strengthening Ukraine’s financial integrity.
Participation in the programme is free of charge. Participants will be selected through a competitive application process, with particular consideration given to applicants’ motivation.
