Representatives of the Coalition of civil society organisations, comprising Transparency International Ukraine, D7 Foundation, ID Ukraine, the Center for Financial Integrity, CASE Ukraine, the Centre for Public Oversight, and the Ukrainian Legal Society, whose candidates have been nominated for the Public Control Council at ARMA (ARMA PCC), understand and respect the decision to postpone the elections due to technical issues.

These are the first elections to the ARMA PCC — a body whose proper functioning is an important component of the Agency’s institutional reform. Therefore, the electoral process must meet the highest standards of transparency, accountability and independent public oversight, while ensuring citizens’ ability to exercise their free and unhindered right to vote.

At the same time, the voting process effectively began with a nine-hour delay, after which voters also encountered technical difficulties. In light of these circumstances, ARMA decided to postpone the elections.

The Coalition representatives support this decision and expect a new vote to be held under conditions that ensure the transparency and legitimacy of the electoral process, as well as citizens’ ability to exercise their free and unhindered right to vote.

The Coalition will continue to closely monitor the electoral process. Coalition members will provide further updates on subsequent decisions, the new voting dates and other important information concerning the ARMA PCC elections.
