
Alisa Dorokhina is the Chief Compliance Manager at National Development Institution - an Ukrainian state development finance institution implementing programs in partnership with KfW, GIZ, the World Bank, and EU institutions. She has over 6 years of experience in compliance and risk management, with a background spanning AML/CFT, anti-corruption, ESG governance, and strategic risk frameworks. Previously, she led compliance functions at the Ukrainian defense industry and JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, building integrity cultures across large, complex organizations. Her professional interests include EU Pillar Assessment readiness, financial monitoring, and ethics in public institutions. Outside of work, she enjoys literature, sports, and volunteering in support of the Ukrainian military.

Anzhela Cherkashyna worked in a real estate agency from 2014 to 2018, providing services to embassy workers and international organizations (Fulbright Ukraine, OSCE, UN OCHA, SKL International, and others). She consistently upheld high standards of professional ethics and accountability in Ukraine’s largely unregulated real estate sector. From 2019 to 2022, she was a member of the NGO “Counseling center of real estate, appraisal, and law” an initiative aimed at strengthening professional development and standards among real estate market participants in Ukraine. She is also part of Kyiv intelligentsia, has appeared in two films, and engages with artists as a hobby.

Galyna Kiritchenko has a decade of experience in corporate governance at a state-owned energy enterprise, audit with a Big Four firm, and implementation of a cooperation project with an international organization, including during major reform processes in Ukraine. She is also passionate about languages and enjoys exploring the cultural contexts behind them.

Kateryna Malofieieva is a journalist and producer from Ukraine with over 12 years of experience in conflict reporting and investigations. She is a regular live contributor to the BBC and Times Radio. In 2014 Kateryna received an Emmy Award as a field producer for Inside Wagner: The Rise of Russia’s Notorious Mercenaries. Kateryna loves trekking and is preparing to climb Kilimanjaro.

Oksana Cooper is an independent expert in project development, policy implementation & organisational challenges. She has over 12 years of experience working with regulatory frameworks, communication plans and partnership relations. In a manager and a researcher roles my tasks very often are focused on legal financial transparency, Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction processes & EU integration. Previously also I had experience working with one of the legal firms on the topics of financial monitoring, which opened to me the AML/CFT coordination and financial oversight area. Her professional interests include working in interdisciplinary projects that she can combine different professional competencies in one position for the best result. She likes walking, cinema & own coaching practice.

Oleksandra Vasylchyshyn practices law and works as a professor at the Department of Security and Law Enforcement at the Faculty of Law of the West Ukrainian National University in Ternopil. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics. In 2018, she defended her doctoral dissertation on “Financial Security of the Banking System of Ukraine” and was awarded the title of professor. Oleksandra has a background in both economics and law. At the university, she teaches courses such as “Financial and Economic Security” and “Economic Security of the State.” She is interested in the topic of financial crimes that harm the state’s economic stability and economic growth. Specifically, she focuses on mechanisms for countering, stopping, and investigating such crimes. Oleksandra Vasylchyshyn is particularly interested in the effectiveness of these processes, specifically the punishment of those guilty of committing financial crimes.

Olena Korchak is a systems thinker and community-focused leader working at the intersection of recovery, integrity, and human potential. As Senior Lead for Opportunity and Leadership Development at NGO PRAVOPOLIS, she designs spaces where women and community actors grow into leadership and shape resilient futures in times of uncertainty. With a background spanning engineering, environmental governance, and large-scale USAID programmes, Olena brings a rare ability to connect technical complexity with human-centered approaches. She is driven by a belief that trust, dignity, and integrity are not abstract values, but practical foundations for rebuilding Ukraine in a more inclusive and sustainable way.

Olga Vetrenko is an economist and financial professional with long-term corporate finance experience in Ukraine’s telecom sector. Currently between roles, she is seeking meaningful positions in public finance, banking, or international financial institutions in Poland, aiming to shift focus toward contributing to Ukraine’s financial resilience from abroad. The UPLIFT program provided her first exposure to non-corporate finance and the AML/CFT field. Relocated to Warsaw, she holds temporary protection status in Poland, enabling her to continue professional development in an international environment. Roksolana Ivanova is a PhD in Law and Professor of International and European Law, with extensive experience in legal research, public governance, and international cooperation. She currently serves as a member of the Youth Council under the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and works as an assistant consultant to a Member of Parliament of Ukraine. Roksolana is also the Head of the NGO “Rise of Innovations” and a practicing lawyer. Her professional interests include financial security, AML/CFT, EU integration, and strengthening institutional capacity.

Viktoriia Petruk is an economist with over 10 years of experience in the public sector, including work at the Vinnytsia Regional Office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, where she worked on competition policy, market regulation, and unfair competition. She later founded a decor studio specializing in event design and completed training in graphic design. Currently, she is interested in developing her expertise in compliance, risk management, and financial crime prevention. In parallel, she is developing a new creative project — weaving garden planters from artificial rattan — and plans to host workshops to share her experience and inspire other women.
