As part of its series of educational events,, the Center for Financial Integrity visited Ivano-Frankivsk on 10 September. The event brought together participants from different backgrounds who were interested in digital finance and modern financial technologies.

The event, «Virtual Assets: How Does the Digital World of Money Work?», aimed to introduce participants to how modern financial instruments work and help them better understand their opportunities, risks and potential threats.

At the beginning of the event, we explored blockchain technology, how ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ crypto wallets work, as well as the main types and classification of virtual assets. This gave participants a basic understanding of how the digital financial ecosystem operates and the technologies underpinning it.

Particular attention was paid to the legal framework governing virtual assets, financial security and the most common types of fraud associated with digital assets. Participants also learned what to look out for when dealing with virtual assets and how to identify potentially risky financial offers.

The Center for Financial Integrity continues to explain how the modern financial world works, helping people better navigate financial innovations, understand the risks associated with them, and make informed financial decisions.
