Continuing its series of educational events, the Centre for Financial Integrity visited Ivano-Frankivsk on 10 September, bringing together participants from diverse backgrounds with an interest in digital finance and modern financial technologies.

The event, “Virtual Assets: How Does the Digital World of Money Work?”, was designed to introduce participants to the principles behind modern financial instruments and help them better understand their opportunities, risks and potential threats.

The event began with an introduction to blockchain technology, the principles behind “hot” and “cold” crypto wallets, and the main types and classifications of virtual assets. This provided participants with a foundation for understanding how the digital financial ecosystem operates and the technologies that underpin it.

Particular attention was given to the legal regulation of virtual assets, financial security, and the most common forms of fraud involving digital assets. Participants also learned what to look out for when engaging with virtual assets and how to identify potentially risky financial offers.

The Centre for Financial Integrity continues to explain how today’s financial world works, helping people navigate financial innovation, understand the associated risks, and make informed financial decisions.
