Forum "Financial Monitoring – 2024"

Ukraine is preparing for the 6th round of MONEYVAL assessment in 2027, so the forum became a platform for identifying priority tasks, including:

  • Modern global challenges and threats: cyber fraud, trade-based money laundering, and other global risks that remain relevant for Ukraine.
  • Innovations in financial monitoring: the need to legalise virtual assets, the use of artificial intelligence, and the automation and digitisation of processes.
  • Enhancing the capabilities of law enforcement agencies: particularly in the area of financial investigations.
  • Public-private partnerships (PPP): building trust and dialogue between sectors as a key instrument for overcoming challenges.

The CFI and CFS at RUSI joined the discussion on these important topics. Tom Keatinge, Director of the CFS at RUSI, participated in the panel on “International Innovations in Prevention and Countermeasures,” where he discussed PPP as an innovative tool in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

Meanwhile, Kinga Redlowska, Head of the CFS Europe and Chair of the CFI Advisory Board, joined the panel on PPP, where she shared the experience of our Taskforce on Building Public-Private Partnership in Fighting Financial Crime in Ukraine, highlighting key recommendations provided by international experts during the summit in Warsaw. Oksana Ihnatenko,Managing Director of the CFI, moderated this panel with international experts.
