The sanctions landscape is rapidly evolving, creating new challenges for businesses, financial institutions and compliance systems. In response to these changes, the online webinar “Sanctions–2026: International Trends, Ukrainian Practice and Strengthening Regulation” was held, bringing together leading experts in sanctions policy, financial monitoring and risk management.
Participants focused on the key trends and challenges of 2026. In particular, discussions covered the transformation of the global restrictive measures regime, the specifics of its practical implementation in Ukraine, and the effectiveness of modern IT solutions for sanctions screening. Special attention was given to identifying hidden links within complex corporate structures and to the role of industry institutions in shaping new compliance standards.
International and Ukrainian experts took part in the discussion. Among the speakers was Kinga Redlowska, Head of CFS Europe and Head of the Advisory Board of the Center for Financial Integrity. She presented the practical dimension of sanctions application and current approaches to their implementation within the European Union.
The webinar served as a platform for sharing experience, discussing current regulatory developments, and identifying effective solutions to enhance the quality of sanctions compliance amid increasing global risks.
The event was organised by the VKURSI big data platform in partnership with the Center for Financial Integrity and the Association of Ukrainian Banks, with informational support from the National Association of Insurers of Ukraine.
